Decisions, decisions, decisions. We were absolutely spoiled for choice in this edition of the lobsterpot< because the past week has been, to say the least, a busy week in the wonderful world of cannabis.
If you enjoy this kind of thing, why in the name of all things green aren’t you reaching out to us – so that we can create fantastic blogs, videos, web, or social media content together for you and yours – ?
Drop us a note, lovely people, let’s figure out how we can help your cannabis brand cut through the chaos!
Good news coming out of the Buckeye State, as it becomes the 24th US state to legalise cannabis for adult use. It’s getting awfully closer to half the country at this point (just saying…). Can’t wait to see how Ohioans get on with it(!).
While cannabis consumption is often shown as a pretty recent thing, some cracking forensic scientists have found skeletons that give reason to believe some cool folk from 1600s Milan used to toke.
Having the DEA onboard when it comes to rescheduling cannabis is definitely a big deal. Less blockers the better, right? But as pesky politics so often rears its head, that journey could be further delayed in the US.
Speaking of delays, German lawmakers have decided to postpone a vote on their own rescheduling. That means that legal access to adult use cannabis in Germany won’t crop up until at least 2024. We’re getting bored of waiting, how about you?
Across the border, France made some sweet moves, with regulators giving medical cannabis products ‘temporary authorisation’ for the next five years, with the opportunity for an indefinite authorisation by extension from that point.
It may not sound like the sexiest news, but the fact that the UK Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs has recommended that regulations be amended to allow for the electronic prescribing of schedule 2 and 3 controlled drugs is pretty progressive. More access is what we all need.
