Prep for Lift Toronto is now in full swing. Both Dave and Jamie have the pleasure of taking part as speakers… but much of our time will be on the show floor seeing what’s occurring in the way of new tech, cool people, and great bud!
As always, we’ll be putting together a cheeky lil’ show video (obvs) so if you want some screen time because you have something particularly important, interesting, or straight esoteric to say – then for goodness sakes tap us up(!).
In the meantime, here’s what’s currently pushing pineapples and shaking trees across the full cannabis spectrum.
A study conducted by Bentley University, San Diego State University, and Georgia State University, seeks to “...comprehensively examine the impact of the legalisation of recreational marijuana on adult tobacco use”. Is it good or is it bad? Well, go see for yourself.
With New Hampshire not managing to make headway in bringing a rec market to the fore, new ideas are being thrown around – one of which has us scratching our heads. Republican Gov. Chris Sununu has suggested tax-free legal cannabis – but sold only in state-owned stores, with tight state control and local bans allowed. Huh!?
Without getting into the weeds (pun most definitely intended) around the inner workings of a UK crown dependency, the Isle of Man is in a unique position. That position places them rather well to make cannabis more of a thing – particularly in Britain’s burgeoning medical space.
What does Pyrrhus, King of the Epirotes, have to do with the NY cannabis market? Being honest, this thermidork< didn’t even know who this particular king was, but in a deeply interesting opinion piece from Mike Doyle, you can find out for yourself.
You might not know the skinny on Uganda’s drug laws but their constitutional court has managed to (reportedly) nullify the country’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Act. They’re adamant that’s not what they meant though… seriously.
Costa Rica has now officially granted its very first medical cannabis production licence. Azul Wellness will start out with an 800m2 facility – which may also benefit from further investment from US based Merida Capital Holdings in developing on-site lab facilities. Progress, progress, progress people.
thermidor< is a content-led, cannabis-focused, creative agency. We work with B2B, B2C, and D2C brands to develop messaging, brand, and tone of voice, as well as create written, audio, and visual content such as blogs, whitepapers, podcasts, and event films.
