It’s here, it’s here! It’s ICBC Berlin this week!!!
Although we only have one thermidork< in attendance, it’s safe to say there’ll be enough energy to go around (seriously, Dave Barton has even had a special shirt commissioned for one of our favourite cannabis peeps – more on that soon…).
Berlin was a sort of coming out party for us last year. We met with friends and clients and truly felt part of the whole dang thang. But this year we’re part of the furniture, and as always we’ll be doing a lil’ vid, so come chat with us, you beautiful people (!).
Big blow for cannabis in Colombia this past week, with a bill narrowly missing out on passing through the Senate. Now, unfortunately, it means that the whole two year process that bill already went through has to be restarted. Bummer.
In this case, the title really says it all: “Oklahoma Growers Producing 64 Times More Medical Cannabis Than Market Demand”. That is a lot of weed. Or maybe it’s a lack of demand. No, it’s definitely just a lotta’ weed.
If you’re ‘in’ cannabis then you know how hard it is to make a buck. Sure, some people manage to carve out their own little corner and turn a profit, but Whitney Economics, a cannabis data and research company, reports that less than 25% of U.S. cannabis operators are turning a profit. Eeek.
In 2020, nearly half of all MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fights were using cannabis in some form or another. That’s massive adoption across a reasonably small roster of top athletes. Is that a cultural thing, or is weed just really that good in aiding recovery?
Health Canada is making it even harder for cannabis beverage producers by asking them to stop using the words “soda”, “cola”, “root beer” or “ginger ale”. Apparently it’ll help stop these products from appealing to kids; but won’t it just confuse adults?
thermidor< is a content-led, cannabis-focused, creative agency. We work with B2B, B2C, and D2C brands to develop messaging, brand, and tone of voice, as well as create written, audio, and visual content such as blogs, whitepapers, podcasts, and event films.
