While Dave explores all the weird and wonderful corners of the Thai cannabis scene...

While Dave explores all the weird and wonderful corners of the Thai cannabis scene (and has a vacation), this thermidork< is left with itchy feet for what comes next. That’s right, show season never stops and we’re already lining up our next soirees.

Product Earth first (preview pod to come out shortly), then we’re off to Dortmund for a cheeky bit of CB Expo (also pod-worthy). Are you going? Will we see you there? If not, why not?! Get your butts in gear and come say hello – we always wanna chat(!).

Albanian Gainer

Another nation gets on the cannatrain this past week, with Albania legalising medical cannabis. While the bill made it through with 69 votes for and 23 against, there is a lot of pushback, particularly with Albania’s history as a popular trafficking channel. Watch this space.

For Everything Else, There's Mastercard

For everything else other than cannabis that is. That’s right Mastercard has said financial payment companies must stop allowing US customers to buy legal cannabis in shops with their cards. Citing federal illegality as the driving force behind the change, we’re left wondering “it’s been fine until now, hasn’t it?”.

Portuguese Progress

We like a good bit of harm reduction. Portuguese decriminalisation is held up as a shining example of the practice, but they’re going even further with changes to the law that broadens the scope of personal consumption. Nice work peeps(!).

Santa Barbara Bust Up

Love long-form journalistic dives into the on-the-ground experiences of those impacted by cannabis. A really interesting piece in the Guardian searches for answers as to why the grass in Santa Barbara ain’t so green right now.

Big Time Backing

Richard Branson has a history of being pro-cannabis. But, with a recent post on the Virgin website, penned by the man himself, his vision of a shift in drug policy is refreshingly public, and we really hope it aids traction in government.

Glad They Figured It Out

The Court of Appeal in the UK has ruled that hemp flower with a THC content below 0.2% should not be considered a narcotic. This is pretty frickin’ obvious, but it is a very big deal, which hopefully will go a long way in protecting CBD businesses in the UK.

thermidor< is a content-led, cannabis-focused, creative agency. We work with B2B, B2C, and D2C brands to develop messaging, brand, and tone of voice, as well as create written, audio, and visual content such as blogs, whitepapers, podcasts, and event films.
