Whatto, thermidor<ks :) Welcome to more newsage from your favourite pincer patrol!
Nice to see UK medical cannabis getting some mainstream media attention (see first story below). Over the weekend, The Observer (UK) ran a piece looking at the state of play here in Blighty.
While it could well have gone further in its treatment of stigma, access, quality, and availability, it highlights how we as an industry need to educate the media as much as we do healthcare professionals, potential patients, and well, the general public.
Here’s the aforementioned Observer piece on UK cannabis. Penned by one Michael Segalov, the article which ran in the 11th Feb edition of the Observer magazine, claims that Britain’s currently experiencing a ‘cannabis revolution’. If only.
Everyone’s favourite 73-year old Virgin, Richard Branson ,continues to make a stand on cannabis; and this past week released a blog article detailing why he feels it’s high time to change our collective stance.
The commentary, controversy, and speculation that Thailand’s government – led by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin – would backtrack on recreational cannabis will soon be official. It was announced last week that a new version of the cannabis and hemp control bill would be coming soon, which would restrict sales and consumption to medical use only. Ho hum.
What with it being Valentine’s Day this week and all, here’s a saucy little piece from High Times positing that weed grown with love is superior to that which is cultivated without. Makes sense, right?
