What is up thermidorks<(!)?

It’s August, and although it’s pretty much rained day and night since July, our spirits are in no way dampened. We’re here, helping companies in the cannabis industry get seen.

That’s it. That’s the schtick.

For now, enjoy our handpicked top six stories of the week so you’re up to speed with everything that’s gone down in the last 7 days.

Paper Trail

For every joint rolled there’s a paper involved. What might seem a forgettable little strip has some very interesting roots and seeing as your joints rely on them, why not dive into a history lesson to find out where they started out? Go on, we dare ya’(!).

Cabinet Approval

At the risk of covering yet another legislative step in a very lion walk, Germany’s cabinet has now approved plans for cannabis reforms. Granted, it’s not some crazy exciting news because it’s been on the cards for some time, but now it’s ‘official official’.

Delta 8 On Watch

The Delta 8 THC loophole which many have been benefiting from, now looks to be under threat. In a letter from 2021, the DEA are shown to believe that Delta 8 THC synthesised from CBD is federally illegal. But is it too little, too late??

The BFG

Neither a Roald Dahl character or an overpowered weapon from the Doom universe, no, this BFG is a Big Fucking Gummy. How big? 20,000 mg in total. Legit, this thing scares us. Sure you’re going to chop it into tiny pieces but think of all that POWER(!).

Malta Madness

The island nation of Malta might be the most confusing country for cannabis that we cover here. Scratch that, it is 100% the most confusing country for cannabis we cover here. You can no longer serve a prison sentence for the possession of cannabis – very cool. But, isn’t it already legal there? *sighs*

Bottoms Up

Given South Carolina’s fairly conservative reputation, The Palmetto State doesn’t get a huge amount of attention in the cannabis scene. But, people like Chris Long, owner of The Cannabis Dry Bar, are working to change that. This spot’s on our list next time we’re in that neck of the woods.

thermidor< is a content-led, cannabis-focused, creative agency. We work with B2B, B2C, and D2C brands to develop messaging, brand, and tone of voice, as well as create written, audio, and visual content such as blogs, whitepapers, podcasts, and event films.
