After a quick break in the sun, this thermidork is very much ready to get back...

After a quick break in the sun, this thermidork is very much ready to get back to delivering the latest and greatest pot content right to you! As with everything cannabis, things move fast, so even in the past week, there've been a few big shakeups(!).

If you do fancy a super interesting evening finding out about medical cannabis – and you’re based in the UK or Ireland – then we cannot recommend enough that you check out the MCCS Medical Cannabis ‘Everything You Need To Know’ event held in Belfast next month. There areloads of great speakers and you’ll learn a tonne.

And on the topic of medical cannabis, if you’re based in the UK, you can invite your local MP to learn more at an event being held in Parliament on 5th July. Click the link, fill in a few deets, and send a pre-filled email invite to the suit representing your community.

“Alcohol and marijuana, if used in moderation, plus loud, usually low-class music, make stress and boredom infinitely more bearable.” Kurt Vonnegut

Thai The Knot

Well, that is officially it, Thailand has made the cultivation of cannabis, as well as the sale of cannabis derived products legal – the latter required to be under 0.2% THC. Very much a medical focus and it’s unlikely to become recreational anytime soon but it is a very big step for the Southeast Asian region in general.

Uniquely Irish

We’ve spoken more times than we can count about how important sensible legislation is. This post from Hanway Associates’ founder, Alastair Moore, does a sublime job of capturing the importance of well thought policy and how important specificity is to wherever you’re trying to roll it out to.

Venga, Venga

A final vote sounds like a big deal and that’s because it is. Spain is set to weigh in on proposals surrounding the legalisation of medical cannabis within the next 3 weeks. The Prohibition Partner’s survey shows that Spaniards are quite split on general cannabis use but almost entirely back medical so it might well have legs.

Backstage Pass

To say that cannabis is a one size fits all industry would be ridiculous and that is proven in full by this article from High Times which pulls back the curtain on cannabis in the opera. Don’t worry if you don’t know your vibrato from your contralto this is still great stuff.

Trips Of A Lifetime

$17 billion is a lot of money and cannabis tourism can now proudly say that’s what it’s worth. That’s really quite staggering when you consider the mish-mash of US law and a lack of federal legalisation.

If At First You Don’t Succeed

Across the border from potential legislative change in Spain, the Portuguese Left Bloc Party has proposed new regulations with a slight change. They’re looking to legalise cannabis; but not edibles, drinks, or synthetic alternatives. This is likely to make it more appealing to voters in the house – big news – seriously.

Sister Act?

Never thought we would have the opportunity to write the sentence “cannabis nun group” but here we are. These awesome ladies of the cloth are now touring California promoting CBD science as well as their hemp products – most righteous(!).
