That’s from one of the big dogs of modern-day psychology and a very interesting individual. If you ever get the chance to read some of his work or look at his impact on the world, then take it. Particularly refreshing was his seemingly liberal approach to hash(!)
As part of the NFT goldrush, cannabis companies are trying to find ways to use non-fungible tokens to build their brand, sell their products, and reach new customers. Skeptics say it’s a ‘’scam’ or a ‘bubble’ and although time will tell, right now we’re excited to see how people fuse NFTs and pot to create something new.
With a pretty poor history of head injuries for NFL players and the subsequent pain issues arising during their career – and often long after – the NFL has committed a good chunk of money to investigate whether cannabis can provide pain management for elite athletes.
Reggae-punk legends sublime are currently developing a selection of cannabis products focused on healing. After the tragic loss of Bradley Nowell in 1996 their aim is to release cannabis products that help people - particularly those dealing with opioid addictions.
In a previous edition of the lobsterpot, we mentioned a great piece of legislation. We will always dedicate space here for smart decisions in the political world of cannabis. This week we reserve that spot for the governor of Washington who has committed to using money from cannabis to improve communities that have been damaged by the war on drugs. Thumbs up from us.
Here comes the local news gem we mentioned at the start. British police aren’t the coolest (have you seen their hats?)! But this collection of bobbies takes the biscuit by gearing up with PPE to destroy seized cannabis in the middle of the high street.
We managed to miss this when it came out in January and we’re still kicking ourselves for that. It’s a fantastic analysis of the current European cannabis markets from Benjamin-Alexandre Jeanroy who works as a cannabis consultant. It’s a great read and has some absolutely golden nuggets sprinkled throughout - seriously spend the time to take it all in.
